Pan Seared Sirloin with Lemon Pepper Glaze

Pan Seared Sirloin

Makes 4 servings
• 1 1lb boneless sirloin steak
• 2 tablespoons lemon pepper seasoning
• zest of one small lemon
• 2 tablespoons reduced sodium soy sauce
• 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

Use 1 tablespoon of lemon pepper seasoning for each side of the steak, I covered the steak and then used my finger to gently press the seasoning into the steak. Let the steak sit in the lemon pepper rub for about 30 minutes.

Next whisk 1 tablespoon EVOO the zest of the lemon and the soy sauce and brush on both sides of the steak. Heat a large skillet about (14-17 inches) with the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Cook the steak until desired doneness around 10-15 minutes for a medium rare steak.

Avoid turning the steak frequently so that the steak can be properly seared. Once the meat is done remove from heat and let rest 15 minutes cut into 4 servings drizzle pan drippings over the steak and serve.
